Marilyn Joan Vick, nee Miller, 95, of Arlington Heights, IL, beloved wife of the late Donald, passed away January 1, 2026. Loving mother of Laura (John) Luke, Diane (Dan) Podolak, John (Jayne) Vick, Donna (Richard) Hendricks, Robert Vick, Jean (Brian) Howe, Michael (Kathy) Vick and Paul (Nancy) Vick. Grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 24. Memorial visitation will be held Friday, February 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m., with Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. both at St James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL. Interment Rite immediately following at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N. River Rd, Des Plaines, IL. Charlotte May Schnell, 95 passed away peacefully at home in Huntley on January 4. She also lived in Carpentersville for over 60 years and retired from Motorola in Schaumburg. She was a loving mother to son William Jr., daughters Debra Denman and Kimberly Marvin. Other survivors are sisters Donna Kutta, Sally Cullen, Mary Yaukovitz and brother Carl (Nancy) Kumlin as well as 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 3 sisters.
There will be a Celebration of Life planned with family and friends later in the year. Memorial donations may be made to journeycare.org

Dr. Earl Levi Sutter, age 95, died peacefully in Goshen, IN on Nov. 29th. Born Oct. 27, 1930, at Hopedale, IL to Levi and Alma (Nafziger) Sutter, Earl married Margaret Kauffman in Middlebury, IN on June 27, 1953.
Earl served as a teacher and principal (14 years) in
Bloomington, IL and Supt. of Schools Dist. 3 Elmhurst (4 years) and Mt. Prospect Dist. 57 (17 years). Community service included Finance Comm. of Mt. Prospect and member, secretary and president of the Mt. Prospect Rotary Club. In retirement he served on numerous boards.
He was a member of many national education associations, enjoyed learning, history, family genealogy, and travel. His interest in genealogy inspired him to write the book "The Land is All" in 2018
