Fairfax County to be Awarded $4.56 Million Grant to Improve Roadway Safety

• The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded $4.56 million to Fairfax County through the Safe Streets and Roads for All Planning and Demonstration Grant program.
• The funding will help advance the county's efforts to improve roadway safety for all travelers, including pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.
• Grant funding is expected to be available starting in early 2027.
