RAVEN REPORT

It was great having all of our students back at school last week. Everyone seemed rested and ready to be back at school. Students are beginning to learn about the academic advising process so they can prepare for their classes for next year. This process will officially begin in the next couple of weeks and will be through students’ advisory classes. More information is provided below on this process depending on your student’s current grade level. As we get closer to the end of the semester, please remind students to turn in any missing work and to connect with their teachers about any work they’d like to make up. I wish everyone an amazing week!

Raving Ravens

FRED Cards: Here’s what people are saying about our amazing staff. Below are some of the highlights from the recent FRED Cards that were submitted. The person’s name is who is being highlighted followed by what was said about them by a colleague. I will continue to highlight them in each Raven Report so keep them coming!

  • Jamie Lovett: “Hi! Thank you for being so friendly to students! So many students tell me how they enjoy connecting with you! Today, when a student was in the hall, you welcomed her so she wouldn't wander. Later, I enjoyed talking through the Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme with you and a different student. :)”
  • John Kang: “Dear John, Thank you for investing so much into your students. You care deeply about making a difference and about their math skills. After school, even with a different group, the math Olympiad group, you share your passion for math. You are doing good work at Poe!”
  • Andrea Carcamo: “Thank you so much for coming to the winter chorus concert on Wednesday night. Our students love to see their teachers supporting them! So special! I know we have long days and you still made the time! Thank you!”
