2025 Guide to Summer Camps in Arlington County Cover

The 2026 Camp Catalog is Here!

Arlington Parks & Recreation is excited to share our 2026 Summer Camp Catalog with ten weeks of camps from June 22-Aug. 28. 

 

Summer was designed to give kids a break from school, have them try new experiences and grow mentally, physically and socially. Whether your child wants to refine a sports skill, get creative, pursue acting, play classic and electronic games or explore the great outdoors, Arlington has something to offer.

 


Registration Dates 

Beginning on Wed., Feb. 11, registration for Summer Camp will open to all Arlington County residents. We will be staggering registration by camp provider type - Partner camps and Arlington County Parks & Recreation camps. Registration will be held at noon for all sessions. The summer camp catalog is organized follow the new registration categories.

  • Partner Camps: Registration begins Wed., Feb. 11 at noon.
  • Parks & Recreation Camps: Registration begins Wed., Feb. 18 at noon.

Early registration for those who qualify for fee reductions begins Feb. 2 at noon (by phone or in person only).

 

Registration for Out-of-County residents begins on Feb. 25.


Be in the Know for 2026!

  • Waitlist Cap Waitlists for Partner and Parks and Rec camps will be capped at 50% of each camp's total enrollment for the camp session. For example, camps with a maximum of 40 slots will have a maximum waitlist of 20. If a camp you're interested in has a full waitlist, check back periodically to see if the waitlist has re-opened.
  • Wishlist Feature To best prepare for registration, our system enables you to add camp selections to a wishlist that you can return to later. Learn more about to use the wishlist feature here.
  • Pay now or pay 50%! When registering you will have the option to pay for your camp fees in full OR to pay 50% at time of registration and the remaining 50% by June 1. More info on page 4.
  • Virtual Waiting Room Our Summer Camp registration will include an online virtual waiting room to help manage the high volume of customers. More info on page 4 of the catalog.

Access for All / Reduced Fees

Parks & Recreation camps at a price you can afford! 

Our fee reduction program helps Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day! Access for All. Easy to apply! Whether you have a short-term setback or something longer-term. Apply anytime and learn more here or call 703-228-4747 and our staff will help you out. Applications for Summer Camp are due prior to registration.

Join Us for Special Fee Reduction Nights

Gather your required documents and head over to Arlington Mill Community Center on Thurs. Jan. 22 from 6-8 p.m., or Thurs. Jan. 29 from 12-2 p.m. where dedicated staff are ready to process fee reductions. Get your household signed up in time for Summer Camp registration! Learn more here.

Registration Help for Summer Camps, on Weekends!

WEEKEND HOURS! Saturdays 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

To help you prepare for summer camp, The Department of Parks & Recreation will be open for weekend hours before registration begins. Stop by our office at Lubber Run Community Center to create an account, get login information, renew or apply for fee reductions, drop off registration forms, set up payment plans and more.

Get your Questions Answered at the APS Summer Activities Fair, TONIGHT!

Visit our booth at Arlington Public Schools' annual Summer Activities Fair tonight, Wed., Jan. 14, 6-8 p.m. at Wakefield High School. Explore summer programs, camps, and activities for students of all ages! Fun, interactive booths will offer a chance to win prizes.
