Dear Silverbrook Families and Community,
It is a great honor and privilege to be part of the Silverbrook School and Community. I am currently completing my 24th year in education. I was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in North Babylon on Long Island. I am the first person in my family ever to graduate from college. I received my BA in elementary education with a concentration in music from St. Joseph’s College on Long Island. Then, I completed my MA from Long Island University as a Reading Specialist. I taught on Long Island and in Brooklyn. In 2007, my wife Sue and I moved to VA and we both worked for Stafford County Public Schools. During that time, I completed my Post Master’s Certification in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have taught grades 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8. I have 13 years of experience in administration in VA. My wife is the Special Education Designee for her school. I have a son, Matthew, who is in his Junior Year in HS. Also, I have a daughter, Lilly, who is an 8th grader. Both my kids still go to Stafford County Public Schools. I have two dogs, Hazel and Nora. Love those girls!!!
