Rise Against Hunger

Dear Spring Hill Elementary School families, 

It’s time again to initiate our Langley pyramid service-learning project in partnership with Rise Against Hunger, a global organization dedicated to ending hunger by providing life-changing meals to those in need. This initiative unites our students, staff, and families from across the pyramid to fund and package meals and make a meaningful impact in the fight against food insecurity worldwide. Please read below for information about how to join us by donating your time or funds in the most impactful way for your family.   

1,000,000 Meals Milestone reached in 2025! In 2025, the Langley Pyramid service-learning event celebrated a major milestone- our 1,000,000th meal. We are excited to continue empowering students to make a difference in the world. 

Save the Date: Together We Rise Against Hunger! On Saturday, February 7, 2026, families in the Langley Pyramid will gather at Colvin Run Elementary School to help needy children. In partnership with Rise Against Hunger, the Langley Pyramid elementary, middle, and high schools will collaborate to prepare 73,800 meal packages for schools and orphanages worldwide. 

Fuel the Mission, Feed the World! Each student is encouraged to donate loose change or money they’ve earned and wish to donate to Rise Against Hunger.  Each school will collect money from January 15 to January 23rd With meals costing just 42 cents each, $15 provides over 35 meals, $30 creates over 71 meals, and $100 funds nearly 240 meals. 

Our goal this year is $31,000 to package 73,800 meals. If your company matches contributions, please consider having them join you in making a tax-deductible donation today at Langley Pyramid Rise Against Hunger 2026 and help us Rise Against Hunger.

• $250 Bronze Package: Company name featured in all pyramid-wide communications. 

• $500 Silver Package: Includes Bronze benefits, plus your company name/logo on a sponsor banner displayed in the Front Lobby on Meal Packaging Day, February 7. 

• $1,000+ Gold Package: Includes Silver benefits, a special mention at the start of each event session, and a table for up to 10 company volunteers at the event.
