January 15th, 2026
Good Afternoon Flint Hill Families,
It was another wonderful week at FHES! Throughout FHES, students and teachers were engaged in learning including 6th grade students who were studying life in the Southern Colonies in social studies and also enjoyed a visit from Thoreau MS performing arts this afternoon. Throughout the school, students completed MAP testing for winter math data. Across the board, students and teachers have much to celebrate in their math growth from the fall to winter. In the coming weeks, assessment results will be shared with families in ParentVue.
FHES can continue to celebrate high levels of attendance (2nd highest in FCPS). Thank you for your partnership in keeping students in school and engaged with learning. When students are present for school they have more opportunities to engage in instruction, interventions and learning experiences!
I hope you will consider joining us for Science Night on January 27th. This is an wonderful opportunity for students to engage with a fun, interactive and hands-on evening of science! Also, don't forget to join us for the next PTA meeting on January 22nd. If you haven't joined us for a PTA meeting yet, this is a great opportunity to get involved and learn more about events, opportunities and programs at FHES.
Be sure to see the flyers below for upcoming events, calendar updates and FHES opportunities.
Kindly,
Mr. Montaquila, Principal
Mr. Baker, Assistant Principal

For the last couple of years, we have asked the community to upload photos to add to our Yearbook. We received LOTS of submissions! While we can’t use every photo in the yearbook, we would love to offer the opportunity for our families to submit photos again. Our yearbook theme this year is “Our Shared Home”.
Please upload images to our Yearbook Snap. Access Code: flinthill25 In order to collect photos, we ask that they are either camera images or cell phone photos without the Live feature attached. If you upload photos and the ending is .HEIC instead of .JPG we are unable to use them in the yearbook. We look forward to seeing everyone’s photo in the yearbook this year.
Remember to Pre-Order your Yearbook! You wouldn’t want to miss out.
