It has been a busy start to the year for our weekday Breakfast radio team — Becc Bird, Liz Rymill and Elyse Armanini — keeping on top of the stories that matter most to our region and having plenty of important conversations along the way.
We welcomed Premier Peter Malinauskas into our studio during his recent whistlestop visit to the Limestone Coast, where he spoke about key issues as we head towards the state election.
There's been no shortage of local talking points either, from the debate about the proposed demolition of a 140-year-old heritage wall on Sturt Street in Mount Gambier, to MacKillop MP Nick McBride being released from prison on home detention, and the reopening of the Urgent Care Clinic in Mount Gambier.
Sadly, it has also been tough start to the year on our roads, with emergency services responding to multiple fatalities in the South East.
Take care out there, soak up the sunshine and make sure you are tuning in to our weekday and Saturday Breakfast programs on ABC South East SA radio, via the ABC listen app or stream us live via our website.
Have a great week, and remember, if you have a story idea drop an email to abcsoutheast@abc.net.au.
