Coming back to the ABC in 2026 to present Drive feels a bit like coming home. It’s a real thrill to reconnect with an audience who might last remember me on 720, talking politics on a Friday with Cammo on Breakfast and now to be back in the thick of it each afternoon is something I’m genuinely excited about.
I love radio. I love talkback. It’s the original social media: immediate, passionate and regularly unpredictable.
For the past decade I’ve been hosting on commercial radio, focusing on news, local stories, social issues and current affairs. That time has shaped how I see radio and its power to inform, challenge and connect communities. I’m looking forward to building on that experience at the ABC, introducing new voices, asking big questions and bringing listeners along as the show grows and evolves.
Away from the microphone, my wife Amy and I are deep in the joy, chaos and adventure of life with our two boys, Edward who is seven and Henry who is four. I’ve successfully brainwashed them into loving cricket early… rugby league is next on the agenda although they will likely be Perth Bears fans and not Dragons.
I’m incredibly grateful I made the move to Perth 16 years ago. While I might be a “New South West Australian” (like former Premier Mark McGowan and Clint Wheeldon) WA well and truly feels like home. We love exploring the state’s backyard, and Albany along with its spectacular surrounding beaches will always have a very special place in our hearts.
I can’t wait to get started. Bring on 2026. Bring on ABC Perth on FM. 🚀
Ps: I’m the guy always in a polo shirt
Oly.
