Likewise, Timothée Chalamet took home the Globe for best actor in a comedy or musical, as predicted—but Wagner Moura rode a last-minute wave of goodwill all the way to his own best-actor win. Surprises like these might mean we’re in for a more interesting slate of Oscar nominations than we anticipated.
