This message is for users of the PECOS PI and AI applications in the Production environment.

Please be advised that the CMS PECOS AI application in the Production (PROD) environment will not be available from 09:00 AM EST to 01:00 PM EST on Saturday, 01/24/2026, due to the R7.56.1 code deployment.

The following AI enhancements are included in this release:

• Updates to the Add/Edit Supporting Documents page of the 855A, 855B, 855I, 855S, and 20134 (MDPP) forms to allow the user to upload supporting documents in AI. Addition of three new Document Type options: 
  • "Other (Other)"
  • "Copy of completed CMS-855 Medicare Enrollment Application (CMS-855)"
  • "Copy of completed CMS-855 Medicare Enrollment Application (CMS-855) and Other Documents (CMS-855 AND OTHER)"

Files uploaded in AI will display on the Documents tab of the L&T with new columns "Document Source" and "Comments" added to the table. These new document types will not appear in PI.
