| Hello. Protests have been continuing in Minneapolis after a second fatal shooting of a US citizen by immigration agents in the city in recent weeks. We also report on how leaked Interpol files show Russia using the international policing agency to target its critics abroad. TOP OF THE AGENDA | Trump administration 'reviewing everything' after Minneapolis nurse shot dead |
|
| | Alex Pretti is understood to have joined protests after Renee Good was shot dead by ICE agents earlier this month. Credit: Family handout | US President Donald Trump has said his administration is "reviewing everything" after the fatal shooting by immigration agents of intensive care nurse Alex Pretti in Minneapolis on Saturday. Trump is facing calls, including from within his own party, for a full investigation into what happened, amid starkly different accounts from federal and state officials of the moments before the 37-year-old's death. The Trump administration said Pretti was carrying a gun and posed a danger to officers. Local authorities deny this, and say Pretti was shot after the firearm was removed. Available video shows him holding a phone, not a gun. Pretti's death at the hands of immigration agents is the second in the city in less than three weeks, after Renee Good was shot dead in her car on 7 January. |
