Today's Milan Cortina Olympics Headlines

Hard to believe it is over...ALMOST! Saving some of the best for last on this final day of the Olympics in Milan! We have a GOLD MEDAL hockey match between the United States and Canada, we have cross-country skiing, and we have bobsled! All featuring New England athletes. Then tonight, the Closing Ceremony. It is a fitting last day for what has been an absolutely jam-packed Olympics. Team USA already has set the record for its most gold medals at a single Winter Games with 11. Will we add to it? USA vs. Canada: How to watch the men's hockey gold-medal game

Don’t forget to set your alarm clocks, hockey fans!

It’s going to be an early morning for many across North America who will be waking up to watch the U.S. take on Canada in the men’s hockey gold-medal game on Sunday at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics.

Team USA will be looking to win its first gold medal in men’s hockey since the “Miracle on Ice” in 1980 and third overall. Standing in their way is a top-seeded Canada team seeking its 10th gold medal and first since 2014.

Team USA invites Johnny Gaudreau's family to Italy for Olympic tribute

 Johnny Gaudreau was working hard to make the U.S. team heading to the 2026 Winter Olympics. He and brother Matthew watched the event growing up, always with eyes on playing in it.

“It was their dream,” Jane Gaudreau said of her sons.

Johnny and Matthew died on Aug. 29, 2024, when they were struck by an SUV while riding bicycles near their hometown in New Jersey on the eve of their sister Katie’s wedding. Their deaths shocked the hockey community, and they have been honored since by retired numbers, a memorial 5K and more.

Team USA wins its most golds in a single Winter Olympics — and it's not over yet

It’s been gold medals galore for Team USA at the 2026 Milan Cortina Games.

After Team USA won gold in the mixed team aerials final on Saturday, the nation made personal history with its most golds won in a single Winter Olympics.

The total is 11 across women’s, men’s and mixed team sports, ranging from figure skating to hockey and more. The U.S. won’t finish with the most gold medals as Norway has continued its usual dominance in the Winter Games, but it’s still a significant achievement.

Eileen Gu makes Olympic history with halfpipe gold in Milan Cortina

Eileen Gu is golden once again.

The 22-year-old freestyle skiing superstar earned gold in the halfpipe event at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics on Sunday. China’s Li Fanghui won silver and Great Britain’s Zoe Atkin won bronze.

Gu is now the most decorated freestyle skier — man or woman — in Olympic history with six medals.
