WGN-TV lays off eight on-air reporters and anchors Monday in massive downsizing

The ax is falling at WGN-Ch. 9, cutting a wide swath out of “Chicago’s Very Own” TV newsroom. Eight veteran reporters and anchors were laid off Monday, according to newsroom sources.
