We hope you and your family had a great weekend. Last week was such an exciting one for our school as our 1st grade students finished up their field trips to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Our Spanish Immersion classes went the previous Friday, and we are so glad all of our 1st graders had such a successful trip! It is so important that our students become lifelong learners and embrace these kinds of learning experiences both in and out of the school building.
Looking at the week ahead, the PTA Read-a-Thon is coming to a close and they are hosting a big closing celebration tomorrow, Monday, March 16, in the cafeteria. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the program begins at 6:30 PM. We'll have storytime in both English and Spanish and a special guest author, Gabriella Aldeman, joining us. A huge thanks to everyone who joined in on the reading fun this month!
Also, please keep in mind that there is no school this coming Friday, March 20, as it is a holiday in observance of Eid al-Fitr and Nowruz. Let’s make it a great week!
