The National Agricultural Library’s Animal Welfare Information Center (AWIC) has released an updated version of its New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in Ecotoxicology bibliography.

NAMs are non‑animal or replacement models used to inform chemical hazard, exposure, and risk assessment. They are increasingly important tools for understanding toxic effects in humans, animals, and the environment. Examples include zebrafish embryos, computational models (using computers to study and simulate complex systems), cell-based systems, and organ‑on-a‑chip technology.

This updated bibliography now covers 2010–2025 with nearly 300 new publications added in the last year.
