FCPS School Year Calendar
Good afternoon, Eagles,
I hope everyone had a great spring break and enjoyed some well-deserved time to rest and recharge. We are looking forward to the start of the fourth and final quarter of the school year. This will be a packed quarter, with end-of-year testing, senior activities, final performances, and many celebrations that recognize the hard work of our students and staff. I look forward to seeing many of you at these upcoming events.
This upcoming week is Assistant Principal Appreciation Week, and I want to take a moment to recognize and thank our outstanding assistant principals (Dr. Boyd, Mr. Boyd, Mrs. Dombrowski, Mrs. Hagan-Bowerman, Ms. Starkey, Mrs. Guillen, Mr. Dombrowski, and Mrs. Bentley). They play a critical role in supporting our students, staff, and families each and every day. Their work often extends well beyond the traditional school day, and their commitment helps ensure our school continues to provide a strong, supportive learning environment where all students are positioned to graduate on time. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated team. I encourage you to take a moment to reach out and share how they have made a difference for your student or family.
Teacher Appreciation Week is also quickly approaching. In this newsletter, you will find a link to recognize a staff member. We use Teacher Appreciation Week to celebrate all our staff. I encourage you to take a few minutes to share your appreciation for those who have made a positive impact on your child’s experience. These messages truly mean a lot to our staff.
A quick reminder that Monday is a teacher workday, so there will be no school for students. We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Amanda Burke Principal
As we near Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4th – 8th, we invite you to take a moment and express your gratitude to our staff here at Edison High School! Has a staff member gone the extra mile, given you support, gotten your student excited about a subject, or do you just want to say thank you?
Fill out the Thank a Staff Member Form and let them know.
Sometimes a simple thank you can make a lasting impact!
