Annandale Students, Parents, and Community,
I hope you had a relaxing spring break. I spent time in Arizona visiting with friends and family. One of the highlights includes hiking Camelback Mountain with my son Jack and attending the Women’s Final Four with my daughter, Regan.
This week, we recognize National Assistant Principal’s Week, an opportunity to highlight the impact of our school leaders. Our team of Assistant Principals do an incredible job every day supporting our students, families, and staff. They serve as instructional leaders, collaborate to ensure every student is receiving the support they need, and keep our school a safe place. A huge thank you to our Assistant Principals Kara Franklin-Taylor, Jae Lee, Jeniva Miller, Katy Padilla, and Aaron Schneider.
This week also marks the start of the fourth quarter. It is an important time for students to stay engaged and take advantage of the support available to them. Strong attendance, active participation in class, and using PRIDE Time, ASAP, and Saturday Academic Coaching can help students finish the year strong.
For parents, the final months of the school year offer a number of opportunities to support Annandale High School through donations and volunteering. Opportunities include supporting Senior Breakfast, volunteering as an IB exam proctor, and serving as a prom chaperone. Your support plays an important role in making these events successful for our students. See below for details.
Have a great week, Atom Nation. As always, reach out with any questions. Go Atoms!
