MGuide is a newly developed digital campus map web application for the University of Michigan, created by incoming doctoral student Luna. The tool allows users to find empty classrooms, transit routes, and on-campus buildings, and to access UM services and weather information. Luna built MGuide in just 48 hours over 12 days, drawing on their student experience and incorporating AI to enhance usability.

Cisco Talos has identified a new Lua-based malware called LucidRook, which is being used in spear-phishing campaigns against nongovernmental organizations and universities in Taiwan. The malware, attributed to threat group UAT-10362, employs sophisticated techniques including obfuscation, system reconnaissance and data exfiltration via FTP.
