i hate what i'm about to tell you.
it's hard to hear, because i watched myself do it.
knew exactly what was happening, and still couldn't stop.
Christmas at my parents' place. i'd been dieting hard, tracking everything, losing weight at a good clip. and then i got home and there was food everywhere.
cookies, prosciutto, bread, the whole thing.
I just... went nuts.
hand over fist. couldn't stop eating. until i felt sick.
watched myself do it in third person like some kind of horror movie.
and in a week i undid over a month of progress.
I had never learned how to be around food in real life.
Calorie tracking works. But tracking doesn't help you when you're at the Christmas table, or a work thing, or someone else is cooking.
those moments are going to happen.
so i put together everything i've learned - from losing the same 50 pounds twice, and from watching clients nail their goals all week and then quietly undo it all on a friday night - into a short video.
not the hippie, woo-woo version. the practical one.

this is why.
