PTSA appreciates MHS’s Assistant Principals and Librarians during the month of April!

This month, the PTSA celebrated McLean HS’s Assistant Principals. The PTSA presented a pasta bowl themed gift (including bowl, servers, kitchen towel, pasta, sauce and olive oil) to the Assistant Principals in appreciation for all they do for the school community. The PTSA, through the Hospitality Committee, supports staff throughout the year by planning appreciation events such as these gifts. Assistant Principals, Thank you for all that you do for our community!

Also this month, the PTSA celebrated McLean HS’s School Librarians. The PTSA treated the team to a Balducci’s catered Lunch in appreciation for all they do for the school community. The PTSA, through the Hospitality Committee, supports staff throughout the year by planning appreciation events such as these gifts. Thank you for all that you do for our community!

Bus Driver Appreciation

The MHS PTSA is partnering with McLean High School to show appreciation to our Bus Drivers this April.  The School is gifting swag bags to the Bus Drivers and the PTSA is providing snacks for the bags. Please click on the link below to donate a snack for this appreciation event.

PTSA volunteers needed
for 2026-2027 school year

Several PTSA Officer positions are available for the 26/27 school year. Please consider volunteering! Please reach out to president@mcleanptsa.org with any questions or to express interest.

MHS PTSA

President - Provides oversight to the PTSA organization and collaborates with the school and parent community; ex-officio member of all committees.  

Vice President, Programs - Provides oversight and guidance for all programs; collaborates with committees and school administration & staff to execute their goals.  

Vice President, Fundraising - Responsible for annual fundraising strategy and membership for the PTSA.  

Vice President, Communications & Outreach -Provides a unified communications strategy across various channels of e-News, A to Z Connect, website, and social media.  

Secretary - Responsible for maintaining records for the Executive Committee, Executive Board and General Membership Meetings. Assists with parliamentary procedures.


Parent volunteers needed for Prom

Prom is quickly approaching. Please consider volunteering to ensure the day goes smoothly and the kids can have a safe and fun time. 

Specific needs include assisting with supervision and coat check. In order to volunteer, please fill out this google form. Linked inside is the quick training module required by the county.

Friday Breakfast Station

The PTSA organizes a weekly Friday Breakfast Station during the year stocked with contributions by fellow McLean HS families. The Friday Breakfast Station is set up in the front office and teachers & staff are grateful each week for your donations.  Please click on the link to donate a breakfast item from the sign up list this month. Class of 2026 All Night Graduation Party

Greetings families!! We are actively preparing for the Class of 2026 All Night Graduation Party (ANGP) which will be held on June 9, 2026. The ANGP provides a safe, alcohol-free and drug-free evening for our Seniors to celebrate after their high school graduation. Every year our students look forward to the ANGP, which is an amazing, fun-filled event where they can spend one last time making memories with their classmates and enjoy a variety of entertainment, games, great food, prizes, and much more. We make this happen each year with the support of students, families, and the McLean community. Questions? Contact the committee at angp@mcleanptsa.org.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to assist with the Class of 2026 ANGP (June 9, 2026). Assistance needed with planning and event day tasks including set up, monitoring the activities, and other tasks. Yard Signs

Class of 2026 yard signs are now available. This year we are offering two types of signs: 

  1. Decision signs that will allow you to celebrate your Senior's college/university/military decision and 
  2. Graduation signs to celebrate your Senior upon graduation in June. 

The signs range in price from $30 to $40 based on the type of sign. See the link below to purchase and for additional details. 

The signs are available for purchase through May 1, 2026. 


Mock Testing - SAT and ACT

Looking for an opportunity to practice for the SAT and ACT? The McLean PTSA is partnering with The Princeton Review and Marigold Prep to offer practice tests. Each testing session starts at 9am. The test dates are as follows: 

SAT: July 18, 2026

ACT: April 25, 2026

Join us virtually to take the full-length practice tests. The registration fee is $20 per exam.

Registration closes 3 days prior to each exam, and you will receive an email with further instructions regarding the testing session. After each test, you will receive a comprehensive score report detailing your strengths and weaknesses.
