Principal Message
Dear Roadrunner families,
Our Reading SOL testing started off strong, and we are excited to see how our Roadrunners will do on the upcoming Math and Science SOL assessments! We are so proud of the hard work and perseverance our students have shown. As testing continues, please help your child be successful by encouraging a good night’s sleep, a sensible breakfast, arriving at school on time, and taking time to relax and stay positive. Your encouragement and support make a tremendous difference in helping students feel confident and prepared.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Multicultural Night! It was wonderful to celebrate the many cultures and traditions that make our school community so special. We are grateful for the diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives that enrich our Roadrunner family each day.
Don’t forget to order your yearbook! Be sure to capture the memories of another amazing school year before orders close.

It’s Kindergarten Registration Time!
Kindergarten helps children learn and practice the social, emotional, problem-solving, and self-regulation skills they will use throughout their lives.
Fairfax County public schools typically conduct kindergarten registration events, including orientation, in the spring. Eligible children can be registered throughout the summer, but registering your child early helps schools prepare and ensure they have the teachers and resources needed on the first day of school.
If your child will attend our school, please gather necessary documents and complete registration forms as soon as possible.
FCPS offers support and resources for all families to help with registration and the transition to kindergarten. For support in other languages, please visit the FCPS Registration webpage.
Want a quick way to recognize an employee or team? Share an FCPS CARES! Families, colleagues, and students are all invited to submit. The FCPS CARES is automatically sent to the recipient(s) and their supervisor, and is posted on fcps.edu. Additionally, each month one school in our region wins a staff celebration party from HR. Encourage your community to show our staff that their hard work is appreciated
