Dr. Christine Ritter

A Message from Principal Ritter

Dear Kings Glen Families,

Spring is officially in the air! It has been absolutely fabulous to see so many of our Gators and their families enjoying the warmer weather and socializing on the way to and from school. That community spirit is what makes Kings Glen such a special place to be. As we enjoy these longer, brighter days, it is important to share some important reminders regarding safety, supervision, and our role as members of this wonderful neighborhood.

To ensure all students are properly supervised, please help your children arrive at their designated locations at the appropriate times:

  • Bus Stops: Students should arrive at their assigned bus stop 5 minutes prior to the designated pick-up time.
  • Safety Patrols (Off-Site): Our patrols at Southampton and Clydesdale are to arrive at their posts no earlier than 8:10 a.m.
  • Kings Glen Arrival: Students should be coming directly to school, and are to arrive no earlier than 8:30 a.m., as this is when staff supervision begins.

Arriving at these specific times ensures that our safety patrols and staff members are in place to greet and transition your children safely to school.

We are very fortunate to be nestled in the heart of a vibrant residential community. Part of being a "Gator" is showing respect for our neighbors and their property.

Please remind your children that the Danbury Forest Pool area is private property. Trespassing or playing basketball before school or after school prior to going home is not permitted. We want to ensure we maintain a positive and respectful relationship with our neighbors, and that starts with respecting their boundaries and facilities.

Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students safe and our community relations strong. Let’s continue to enjoy this beautiful season responsibly!

Positivity Project

Positivity Project at Kings Glen

Kings Glen is partnering with The Positivity Project (P2) to empower students to build positive relationships and become their best selves. During our classroom Morning Meetings, short videos, class discussions and activities focus on one of the 24 character strengths that are the foundation of Positive Psychology. Gators explore their strengths and how to have positive relationships. P2 also offers short lessons for families at home.
