The tool, available to all Amazon customers in the US via the app and website, offers features such as personalized shopping guides, dynamic product comparisons and automated deal-finding and integrates functionality from Amazon's previous Rufus shopping assistant.

Hint differentiates itself from platforms such as Angi by using AI to proactively manage home maintenance, pulling data from various sources to build a comprehensive record of a home's history and needs.

Ford Motor has filed a patent for a predictive crash-avoidance system that can operate even when a vehicle is parked. The system uses a "virtual sensing grid" comprised of radar, cameras, lidar and ultrasonic sensors to predict the movement of nearby vehicles and to take evasive action if a collision is likely.
