The Wolf Shack: Summer "Shop the Shack" Student/Family Food Event!
We Need Your Support!
The Wolf Shack is our PTSA-sponsored in-school food and resource pantry available to Justice students. In the Wolf Shack, we provide FREE snacks, food, toiletries, clothing and other essential resources for ALL students. The Wolf Shack supports more than 1,000 student visits per month and can also be accessed anytime through teachers, social workers and counselors.
The need for food and resource support has increased sharply in our community, and students have even less access to resources during the summer. The Wolf Shack wants to help bridge the summer gap - but we need your support. The Wolf Shack is hosting a summer "Shop the Shack" week the first week of June - June 2nd, 3rd and 4th from 3-5pm. We are encouraging students to come to the Wolf Shack and pack family bags of food and personal care items for the summer. The Wolf Shack will also be open once a week during July summer school.
BUT, we need your help - The Wolf Shack is fully dependent upon the financial and in-kind donation support of our families, staff and community. Please support the Wolf Shack and help us ensure that all our students have the food and resources they need during their summer break.
We are asking you to support The Wolf Shack and the summer food program in any of the following ways:

Drop-off or have any donation delivered to the front office of JHS (just label with "PTSA Wolf Shack")

The All Night Grad Party will be here before you know it— June 8th. All seniors who buy their $10 tickets will be entered into a weekly gift card raffle. The earlier you buy, the more chances you have to win. Tickets go up to $15 on June 1. Seniors register now for only $10.

We’re looking for parents to join the PTSA board and volunteer team for the upcoming school year. Whether you have a few hours a month or want to take on a leadership role, there’s a place for you to make a meaningful impact. Help support our students, connect with other families, and bring great programs to our school community. No experience is necessary—just a willingness to contribute and collaborate!
Open positions include the VP of Communications, Secretary, Treasurer and Social Media Coordinator. We'd also love to find a Volunteer Coordinator.

Volunteer FCPS Helps Community Members Connect With Schools
A new volunteer management system, Volunteer FCPS, will allow students, parents/caregivers, and community members to register and search volunteer opportunities within the school division.
All volunteers (new or returning) will register in Volunteer FCPS, complete a volunteer orientation, and be required to sign in using the visitor kiosk. Some volunteers will also be required to undergo a background check. Visit the Volunteer FCPS website for details.
