Pickleball Courts Open May 22 as Final Touch-Up Work OccursThe dedicated outdoor pickleball courts are expected to open by the evening of May 22, weather permitting. After May 22, one set of the three pickleball courts may temporarily close for one or two days at a time while final construction items are completed. These partial closures may occur on short notice over the next few weeks. Additionally, please be aware that a court light test is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. on May 19. Court lights may be on for several minutes around this time to ensure they are functioning properly. Thank you for your patience as we work to both open the courts and put the finishing touches on them. Basketball Court Painting May 18-22The Walter Reed basketball courts will be temporarily closed from May 18 - 22, weather permitting, for repainting and restriping. After repainting, the basketball court will no longer be used for pickleball. Movable pickleball nets will be removed, signage will be installed, and the courts are being restriped for basketball use only. Updates will be posted on the project page and park page.
