Colorado’s Democratic Gov. Jared Polis has reduced the prison sentence of Tina Peters, the former Mesa County clerk convicted of conspiring to breach voting systems related to the 2020 presidential election. Peters is set to be released June 1.

A state appeals court last month found that Peters’ nine-year sentence was improper. Her cause has been highlighted by President Donald Trump, who has posted repeatedly on social media about the case.
