Can you spend more than you make without going into debt?
That’s not a trick question, btw…
I just think some people are batshit crazy.
(Or at the very least, stuck in a cycle of shame and guesswork.)
See, I just had a couple on the show who bring in about $4,200 a month.
Not bad, tbf.
Like I always do, I asked them what they thought they spent in the last 30 days.
They guessed around $5,200.
Okay, more than they make, but we can fix that pretty easily…
The real number?
$9,431.
THAT’S MORE THAN DOUBLE!!!!
WTF!
And to make it worse, they have a baby on the way!
In about a month, they were gonna have another mouth to feed.
Meanwhile, they can barely feed themselves!
Instead of preparing, buying diapers, or putting together bassinets and strollers…
Dude is buying a 4050 gaming laptop, while the wife is on an "allowance" from the joint account because she has a history of recycling payday loans to fund anime conventions and cosplay.
It’s a disaster!
And not the kind of mild money fuckup you can fix by avoiding Starbies for a few months.
This is gonna take a MASSIVE overhaul of their entire financial model.
- A new system
- Automatic savings
- Incredible discipline
- Mindset shift
And maybe even a consolidation loan to keep everything in one place.
In their case, and cases like theirs, I recommend looking into MoneyLion.
