I can't believe how much the city has changed since we were kids. There's a new coffee shop on every corner now. I tried one yesterday that had a really nice outdoor patio. My neighbor's dog got out again yesterday and ran straight into my garden. He's a golden retriever named Buddy, super friendly, just completely trampled my marigolds. I couldn't even be mad because he was so happy rolling around in the dirt. I spent the rest of the afternoon fixing the fence so it doesn't happen again. It was surprisingly therapeutic.
