I was thinking about what you said regarding the weekend plans. We ended up going to that new place near the river and it was actually really nice. The weather held up which was a pleasant surprise given the forecast. I tried their roasted vegetable plate and it was quite good though the portions were smaller than I expected. 10EwgdGF1gwjdBi We walked around the area afterwards and found a small bookstore that had a great selection of used novels. I picked up a couple of things I have been meaning to read for a while now. The cashier recommended a newer author in the science fiction section so I grabbed that one too. Let me know if you want to borrow any of them when I am finished. I think you would enjoy the mystery one especially. The author has a really distinctive style that keeps you turning pages late into the night. Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts since you originally recommended the restaurant. We should go together sometime when you are free and not too busy with your own schedule.

I finally got around to watching that documentary series you mentioned last month. It took me a while to get through it because each episode is packed with so much information and detail. The cinematography was stunning especially the aerial shots of the remote landscapes and the close-up work with the wildlife. I learned a lot about how the local communities have adapted to changes over the decades and centuries. The interviews with the elders were my favorite part because they brought so much perspective and wisdom to the overall story being told. I also appreciated that the filmmakers did not rush through the material at any point. They let each scene breathe naturally and gave the subjects space to speak their minds. Have you seen the follow-up special that came out recently? I heard they released an extended version with additional footage that did not make the original broadcast cut. I might watch the whole thing again because I feel like I missed some subtle details the first time around. Let me know what you thought of it when you get a chance to respond.
