I had a chance to attend the AI on the Lot conference last week in Culver City, and what struck me was the sheer number of projects utilizing AI that were ready for prime time. Innovation Dreams CEO Jon Erwin touted the use of generative AI in the backdrops of his hybrid production of "The Old Stories: Moses." A novel interactive theatrical experience utilizing generative AI to produce the video in real time was set to hit Alamo Drafthouse next week. It culminated with a sense that AI has moved beyond hype and even the early adoption phase, and that creatives were starting to find real applications for the technology.
