hey thanks for getting back to me on that. i was just thinking about the other day when we were talking about planting things in the spring. i ended up going with a mix of perennials this year because i just don't have the patience to start over every season. the lavender is already coming in really nicely and the bees have been all over it. i also put in some salvia and echinacea which should bloom later. HarRmv8DNi5 my neighbor gave me a few divisions of her daylilies too so i have those along the side of the garage. honestly i was surprised how much dirt i had to move to get everything in the ground but it was worth it. anyway let me know if you want me to grab anything from the garden center next time i go. they had a sale on ornamental grasses last weekend and i should have picked up more.

i finally tried making pasta from scratch last weekend and it was way more involved than i expected. i used a simple recipe with just flour eggs and a little olive oil but the dough was so stiff i could barely knead it. after letting it rest for about thirty minutes i rolled it out by hand because i don't have a machine. some of the strands ended up thicker than others but honestly it still tasted great with just some butter and parmesan. HarRmv8DNi5 my cat sat on the counter watching the whole time and i think she was judging my technique. i want to try a ravioli next time maybe with a mushroom filling. a friend told me to use semolina flour for a better texture so i might pick some up. anyway it was a fun project and i will probably do it again even if my arms were sore the next day.
