Yeah I finally got around to reading that book you recommended. I was a bit skeptical at first because the premise sounded a little out there but honestly it pulled me in after the first few chapters. The way the author built up the main character's backstory was really well done and there were a couple of twists I genuinely didn't see coming. I ended up finishing it in about three days WJmewpU9L9YHX which for me is pretty fast because I usually only read before bed. I can see why you thought I'd like it. The writing style reminded me a bit of that other author we both enjoy but with a slightly darker tone. I'm planning to pick up the sequel next time I'm at the bookstore. Let me know if you've come across anything else lately that you think I might like. I'm always looking for good recommendations especially since I've been trying to read more consistently this year.

I tried making that pasta dish you sent me the recipe for last weekend. It turned out pretty good for a first attempt though I think I overcooked the garlic just a touch. The sauce came together really nicely though and the fresh herbs made a huge difference compared to the dried stuff I usually use. I ended up adding a bit more lemon than the recipe called for because I like that brightness. My partner said it was one of the better things I've made recently which felt like a win. I'll probably try it again next week and see if I can get the timing down better. I also want to experiment with adding some roasted vegetables on the side. Overall it was a solid recommendation and I'm glad you sent it my way. If you have any other recipes that are similarly straightforward but impressive send them over. I'm trying to cook more at home instead of ordering takeout so often.
