I think the patio layout would be better if we shifted the grill closer to the side door for easier access when carrying plates. We can ask Mike to bring his extra cooler and Rachel said she would handle the side dishes and dessert. For chairs there are plenty in the shed just need to brush off the pollen. The forecast looks clear for Sunday so the outdoor plan should work well. Let me know what time you think we should start and whether you need me to pick up extra plates and utensils.

The raised bed design you mapped out looks very practical and I think the cucumbers and peppers will do well in that section since it has good morning sun. If you want I can bring over some of the extra compost I have from my spring setup. The basil cuttings you shared last month are already rooting nicely and should be ready to transplant soon. Have you thought about putting marigolds along the edge they help deter insects and add nice color throughout the season.
