Shana Curtis joins Glen Forest Elementary School with a diverse background in educational leadership and student support. During the 2025–26 school year, she served as Assistant Principal at both Westlawn Elementary School and Luther Jackson Middle School. Prior to these roles, Ms. Curtis served as the Region 1 Educational Specialist and Region 2 MTSS Specialist in the Office of School Support, partnering with schools to strengthen systems of support and improve outcomes for all students. Her previous experience also includes school-based administrative leadership roles serving secondary level students.

Ms. Curtis believes deeply in the power of student voice, meaningful collaboration with families, and building strong partnerships that support student success. She is committed to cultivating a safe, joyful, and inclusive learning environment where every student, family, and staff member feels valued, connected, and experiences a strong sense of belonging.

Outside of school, Ms. Curtis enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband, Raymond, are the proud parents of three young adult children—Joshua, Lauren, and Aaron—and share their home with Koda, their lovable Goldendoodle. In her free time, she enjoys reading, curating playlists for every occasion, and staying active through Peloton workouts.
