Cherry Run News June 12

Dear Cherry Run Families,

It is hard to believe that this is the final Friday of the 2025–2026 school year. As we reflect on the year, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our Cardinal students, staff, and families for making it such a memorable and successful one.

Throughout the year, our Cardinals demonstrated curiosity, perseverance, kindness, and growth in countless ways. Together, we celebrated achievements, overcame challenges, and created meaningful learning experiences that will have a lasting impact. None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our exceptional staff and the unwavering support of our families.

Thank you for partnering with us, volunteering your time, encouraging learning at home, and helping us build a strong, supportive, and caring school community. Your involvement and support have made a tremendous difference in the success of our students.

As summer begins, I encourage everyone to take time to relax, recharge, and enjoy special moments with family and friends. Whether your plans include travel, camps, outdoor adventures, or simply spending time together, I hope the weeks ahead are filled with joy, laughter, and lasting memories.

On behalf of the entire Cherry Run staff, thank you for a fantastic school year. We are incredibly proud of all that our Cardinals have accomplished and look forward to welcoming everyone back in August for another year of learning, growth, and success.

To our sixth-grade Cardinals, congratulations on reaching this important milestone. We are proud of all you have achieved during your time at Cherry Run and know that you will continue to do amazing things at Lake Braddock and wherever your educational journey takes you. Once a Cardinal, always a Cardinal!

Wishing you and your family a safe, happy, and healthy summer break.

Warm regards,

Maura Donahue and Dave Arthur

CRES Administration Update

Assistant Principal

Our Assistant Principal, Miranda Goss, has made the decision to accept a position closer to home for the upcoming school year. While we are sad to see her leave the Cherry Run family, we fully support this decision and are grateful for the many contributions she has made to our students, staff, and families.

Throughout her time at Cherry Run, Miranda Goss has been a dedicated leader, a strong advocate for students, and a valued member of our school community. We thank Miranda for her commitment and service and wish her continued success in this next chapter.

The process to identify and select our next Assistant Principal will begin shortly. We are committed to finding an exceptional leader who will continue to support the success and well-being of our students and school community. We will share an update once a new Assistant Principal has been selected.
