 Keene Mill/FCPL Summer Reading Program
This year KMES is partnering with Fairfax County Public Libraries and adopting the FCPL Summer Reading Program “Unearth a Story”. This is an amazing, engaging program and we are excited to be part of it.
- Beginning June 12th, go to fairfaxcounty.beanstack.org and pre-register for the Summer Reading Adventure appropriate for you or your children.
- Depending on your age, earn ten or fifteen virtual badges by reading or listening to books, reading for 20 or 30 minutes, completing activities or a combination of all three.
- Once you have met the reading goals for your age/grade, visit your local library branch and receive prizes for finishing the program!
Student Testing Results Coming Soon
Through June, you will receive your child’s spring assessment results. If you aren’t sure what assessments your child took this year, you can view a list of tests by grade level on the FCPS website.
Most scores are available in SIS ParentVUE. Visit FCPS’ website for additional information about how test results are reported to families.
Websites for each test provide report translations and help with understanding test results. Caregivers should contact their children’s schools with any testing questions or for additional information about how schools and teachers use test results to support student success.
2026-27 First Day of School
