Greetings Fairfax Families,

We can officially see the finish line! With final exams underway, the energy in our hallways is a mix of intense focus and anticipation for the summer ahead. I want to commend all of our students for their hard work and dedication over these last few weeks. Please remind your students to get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast, and give these final assessments their absolute best effort.

A Spectacular Night at the Cappies

We kicked off this exciting week with a celebration of the arts! It was an incredible night at the Cappies gala, cheering on and supporting all our talented FX Player nominees.

The competition was fierce, and we are absolutely thrilled to announce that our students took home top honors in two major categories:

Best Dancer: Nate Smith
Best Choreography: Nate Smith, Naomi Bautista, and Libby Hansen

Congratulations to the entire cast, crew, and production team of the FX Players. Your creativity, dedication, and countless hours of rehearsal truly paid off on the big stage!

Spotlighting Our Seniors

The celebrations continued at the local Rotary Club luncheon, where we recognized some truly phenomenal students. It is always a proud moment when our students are celebrated by the wider community for their leadership, intellect, and character.

We extend our deepest thanks to the Rotary Club for their unwavering investment in our youth and their continuous support of Fairfax High School’s mission.

Celebrating Our Staff Mentors & Mentees

This week, we also took time to celebrate our incredible staff mentor and mentee cohorts. We are incredibly grateful for our veteran educators who step up to welcome, guide, and champion our newest team members. This intentional support system ensures our new teachers thrive, deeply impacting staff retention and creating a stable, positive environment for our students. Thank you to our mentors for your leadership, and to our mentees for your dedication!

Congratulations to our Lady Lions who played with heart, determination, and dedication in the state semi-finals. We are so proud of you and your amazing season.

The year is winding down and we hope that everyone is getting ready for a PAWSome summer break!

Congrats to the Girls Soccer Team on a Fantastic Season!! ⚽

Huge congratulations to our Girls' Soccer Program on a spectacular season!! On Tuesday, the team showed pure grit with an overtime win over Cosby HS in the VHSL state quarterfinals. Today, they left everything on the field at Independence HS, enduring brutal heat only to fall in a heartbreaking overtime loss to Yorktown HS. Win or lose, this team showed the true spirit of champions. We couldn't be prouder of this team's heart and historic run! Hold your heads high, ladies!
