Hey sorry for the late reply — we ended up taking a completely different route than planned. The trail was longer than expected but the weather held up and we found a great spot near the creek. Everyone agreed it was worth the extra drive. I should have sent you the photos earlier but I kept forgetting. Let me know what you think whenever you get a chance. No rush at all. Also if you want the map coordinates for that turnaround point just say the word. I saved a pin on my phone before we headed back. The kids are already asking when we can go again. GbXuQ52KTNHlc0Q I think next time we'd bring more snacks and maybe a lighter tent. The one we carried was way too heavy for a day hike. Anyway hope you're doing well and we'll catch up properly soon.

I finally got around to testing that recipe you sent last week. It turned out better than I expected actually. I doubled the garlic and added a bit of lemon zest at the end which really brightened it up. My family kept going back for seconds so I'd call that a win. The prep took longer than I thought but the cleanup was easy since it was all one pan. I've been trying to cook more from scratch lately and that one's going into the rotation for sure. Let me know if you have any other suggestions along those lines. I'm also thinking about trying a new bread recipe this weekend if the weather stays cool. Nothing too complicated just a simple no-knead loaf to have with soup. Anyway I'll send you a picture of how it turned out. Hope you're having a good week.
