Dear Clermont Families,
As we finish up a fantastic school year, we want to thank you for trusting us with your wonderful children! We have had so many memorable moments, and it has been inspiring to watch our students practice our CARE traits and spread kindness.
At the end of this school year, we are saying goodbye to Mr. Doug Allison (PE), Mrs. Van Buren (Instructional Assistant), Mrs. Wheeler (school counselor), and our school nurse, Ms. Denise Henley. We wish them the very best as they move on to the next chapters in their stories.
On behalf of the staff at Clermont, we wish you and your families a wonderful summer break. During the summer months, our office will be open to the public from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm. If you need to register a student, please call 703-921-2400 to make an appointment. Have a safe and enjoyable summer!

We have compiled a variety of local programs, activities, and opportunities available to students this summer. Starting Monday, June 22, no-cost meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the sites and times listed on the FCPS Summer Food Service Program webpage. Students must remain on-site while eating their meals.
This year, thanks to generous support from Educate Fairfax, families may also receive one no-cost breakfast and lunch per adult at the following elementary schools: Braddock, Dogwood, Glen Forest, Hutchison, Hybla Valley, and London Towne.
Summer sites will continue to be added, so check the Summer Food webpage regularly for updates.
Student Testing Results Coming Soon
Through June, you will receive your child’s spring assessment results. If you aren’t sure what assessments your child took this year, you can view a list of tests by grade level on the FCPS website.
Most scores are available in SIS ParentVUE. Visit FCPS’ website for additional information about how test results are reported to families.
Websites for each test provide report translations and help with understanding test results. Please contact our front office with any testing questions or for additional information about how our school and teachers use test results to support student success.

Support Your Child’s Success in SIS ParentVUE Signing up for a SIS ParentVUE account helps you to support your child’s academic success! Caregivers can view important information like attendance, grades, progress reports, and assessment scores through ParentVUE.
Once you have activated a ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. Information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same ParentVUE account. It is available online and as a mobile app for Apple and Android devices.

If you already have an account, be sure your contact information is up to date. Parents/guardians can update their phone numbers or email addresses in the Parent/Guardian section. View additional details about ParentVUE.
Activate Your ParentVUE Account to Stay ConnectedOn Wednesday, July 29, FCPS families who haven't activated their ParentVUE account will receive an email with the subject “Fairfax County Public Schools ParentVUE Activation Letter.”
The email will include instructions to activate a ParentVUE account. If you don’t have an account and don’t receive the email, please check your spam folder or open a Parent Support Request. After July 29, families may also contact [school registrar name and phone/email] to request a printed activation letter or a new activation key, if needed.
All families are encouraged to activate their accounts as soon as possible to ensure they receive immediate access to important student information and school communications.

Early Release Wednesdays for 2026-27
FCPS will continue with limited early release Wednesdays for elementary schools during the 2026-27 school year. The number has been reduced from eight to four days.
Early release Wednesdays provide elementary teachers with a dedicated block of time to prepare lessons, participate in professional development and training, and collaborate with their peers. A well-supported and continuously improving teaching staff leads to better educational outcomes for students.

- June 16: 6th Grade Promotion - 5:45pm at Twain MS
- June 17: Last day of School - Dismiss at 1:50pm
- August 24: First day of School
- September 4 & 7: Labor Day Holiday - No School
- September 21: Yom Kippur Holiday - No School
- October 12: Teacher Workday - No School
- October 30: 2-hr Early Release - Dismiss at 1:50pm
