Yeah I think you are right about the layout I tried the raised beds along the south fence and they are working out great. The tomatoes are already climbing and it has only been about a month. I still need to figure out the rabbit situation though they keep finding a way in through a gap near the gate. I tried patching it with extra wire mesh but they dig right under it. A neighbor suggested planting marigolds around the perimeter as a natural repellent so I will try that next weekend. Let me know if you have other ideas because I am running out of options. The weather has been perfect for growing so I cannot complain much. I am hoping to get a decent harvest this year maybe even enough to share with friends. We will see how it goes. The garden has become a nice little escape after work and I find myself out there every evening just checking on things.

I finally got around to reading that book you mentioned last month and I was skeptical at first but it really drew me in by the third chapter. The writing style was unusual but once I settled into it I could not stop reading. Finished it in about four days which is fast for me. Looking forward to talking about it when we meet next week. There is a scene in the middle that I keep thinking about and I would love to hear your take on it. I also looked into the author is other work and apparently there is a prequel that might be even better. Have you read that one yet let me know if you have. I might pick up a copy this weekend if I can track it down at the local bookstore. Anyway thanks for the recommendation it was a really enjoyable read and I am glad you pushed me to try something outside my usual genre. The characters stayed with me for days after I finished and I keep recommending it to everyone who asks what I am reading.
