TOP OF THE AGENDA | The questions and risks that remain after Iran deal |
|
| | The Strait of Hormuz remains in gridlock, for now at least. Credit: Reuters | "Let the oil flow!" Donald Trump wrote after the announcement of a deal with Iran on Sunday. And flow it might, if the Strait of Hormuz reopens as the US president has promised. In fact, few details about the agreement have emerged so far, our North America correspondent Anthony Zurcher writes. There are questions over what the deal means for Iran's nuclear ambitions - and risks linger, especially when it comes to the "wildcard" that is Israel, he adds. "It's a notable step towards the way things were before the start of the war," Anthony writes, "even if Trump's larger goals remain unrealised for now." |
