For the safety of our Veterans and all who visit the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, please use extra caution when arriving or leaving the campus. Construction on Weiss Street, located directly beside our east entrance, has been extended for an additional two weeks.
We want to make you aware that some vehicles traveling through the construction zone are not coming to a complete stop, which may create a hazard for anyone walking or driving near the entrance.
To help keep everyone safe:
- Slow down as you approach the east entrance and follow all posted construction signs.
- Watch for construction workers, shifting traffic patterns, and uneven pavement.
- Use designated crosswalks and avoid walking close to the construction area.
- Allow extra time for your arrival, especially if you have an appointment.
Your safety is our highest priority. We appreciate your patience as this important work continues. If you observe unsafe driving near the construction zone, please notify VA Police so they can continue to monitor the area.
