A Message from Dr. Rolon

Dear Justice Community,

As we conclude another outstanding school year, I am filled with pride and gratitude for all that our students, staff, and community have accomplished together.

This year marked the launch of our new mission and vision, centered on four core commitments: Community, Opportunity, Rigor, and Empowerment. These principles have guided our work and are reflected in the remarkable achievements of our students.

Academically, we continued to set new standards of excellence. We remain home to the largest AVID program in Virginia and the second-largest International Baccalaureate (IB) program in FCPS. This year, we achieved the highest level of IB participation in school history, with a 14% increase in students registering for one or more IB exams. Our multilingual learners also excelled, outperforming the division on WIDA growth measures and achieving the highest exit rate from the Multilingual Learner Program among our FCPS comparison schools.

Our performing arts programs earned Blue Ribbon recognition, with band, choir, orchestra, and guitar all receiving Superior ratings—the highest distinction possible. Beyond the classroom, more than 65 clubs were active this year, providing students with countless opportunities to connect, lead, and grow.

Our student-athletes continued to excel, with 33 students earning varsity letters across all three athletic seasons. The Girls Senior Quad rowing team captured the Virginia State Championship and competed at Nationals for the second consecutive year.

One of the highlights of the year was International Night, where more than 1,000 community members came together to celebrate the cultures, traditions, and talents that make our school so special.

Most importantly, these accomplishments reflect the dedication, resilience, and excellence of our students and staff. Their hard work has made this one of the strongest years in our school's history, and I could not be more proud.

Thank you to our families, staff, and community partners for your continued support. I wish everyone a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer. We look forward to welcoming back our returning students and greeting the incoming Class of 2030 in August as we begin another exciting year together.

Regards,

Sean Rolon, Ed.D.

Principal

SAT School Day and PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT) exams for the 2026-27 school year will be held at each high school on Wednesday, October 7, at no cost to families. The digital SAT School Day exam is offered to 12th grade students, and the digital PSAT/NMSQT exam is provided to 10th and 11th grade students.

Because these exams are operated by the College Board, students do not automatically receive testing accommodations or multilingual learner (ML) supports.

If you have a student with disabilities entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, please review the accommodations request process and return forms to the high school by Monday, August 3, to request new or updated College Board testing accommodations.

If you have a multilingual learner entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, please review the ML support request process and return forms by Thursday, August 27, if you wish to request ML supports for the October 2026 PSAT/NMSQT or SAT School Day.
