Dear Hunt Valley Families,
This is a special edition of our News You Choose. As we closed out the school year and reviewed our annual academic data, we thought you would like to see the wonderful progress our students made this year. We want to express our deepest gratitude for your partnership and support. It has truly been a wonderful year of growth, community, and achievement.
Our dedicated teachers have worked tirelessly to provide high-quality instruction every single day, and their efforts have truly paid off. Thanks to their hard work, the determination of our incredible students, and your partnership, we have seen wonderful academic gains across all grade levels.
This special edition is dedicated entirely to celebrating our growth and highlighting our academic data for the 2025–2026 school year. I encourage you to take a look and share in the pride of what our students have accomplished!
We finished this school year incredibly strong, and we have no intention of slowing down. We are already looking forward to continuing this vital work and building on this momentum in the 2026–2027 school year. We have begun planning for the upcoming academic year, and are excited to continue to partnering with you, our families, as we look toward a wonderful 2026-27 school year.

A Standard of Excellence
We have an overall pass rate 89%
Hunt Valley students excel equally in quantitative analysis and reading.
Our 3rd grade students are off to a strong start.
They are first time SOL test takers and achieved a 90% overall pass rate!
Our K-2 students are making tremendous gains.
We have a significant reduction in student literacy risks and overall growth in achievement, as measured by VALLSS.
20% increase in low risk
46% decrease in moderate risk
20% decrease in high risk
Measure of Academic Performance (MAP) has shown an increase in student growth.
- Spring assessments achievement rose to the 85% percentile.
- Three quarters of our students achieved 100% or more on their growth goal for student performance measures.
We are closing the gap at Hunt Valley.
Our students with disabilities (SWD) passing the SOL assessment rate surge from 59% in 2025 to 71% in 2026.
That is an increase of 12% points increase from the previous academic year.
Multilingual Learners are soaring high.
Over one-fifth of our multilingual learners successfully completed their program.
22% of our multilingual learners have successfully exited the program.
None of this work would have been possible without the dedication, hard work, and support of our teachers and parents.
They say it "team work makes the dream work," and the growth we have seen in our students is due to the partnership we share with our families and school community. Thank you to our teachers, families, school community, and students for a wonder 2025-26 school year!
