Stellantis, Uber, Wayve team up for global robotaxis
Level-4-ready platform (Stellantis)
Stellantis, Uber and Wayve have partnered to develop and deploy Level 4 autonomous robotaxis globally. Stellantis plans to design and manufacture vehicles with advanced sensor suites, Wayve will provide AI driving software, and Uber will integrate the vehicles into its ride-hailing network. The initial deployment will target cities in Europe and North America.

Meta launches Instagram for TV on Samsung screens

Instagram has expanded its TV app to Samsung Smart TVs, joining its availability on Amazon Fire and Google TVs. This expansion allows users to view Instagram Stories and creator channels customized for their interests on larger screens. Owner Meta is also testing features like casting reels from phones to TVs and horizontal video formats, with plans to introduce longer-form content such as episodic series and live TV broadcasts.

Sports fever sends streaming apps soaring in June
The FIFA World Cup and the June 14 UFC Freedom 250 event have led to strong surges on streaming platforms, with Sensor Tower reporting a 254% growth in monthly active users on Fox Sports, 34% on Paramount+ and 73% on Peacock. Paramount+ saw a 184% increase in downloads after airing the UFC event, while Fox Sports and Peacock experienced similar gains during the World Cup.
