Dear Kings Park Families,

We hope your summer is off to a safe and relaxing start. This year was filled with academic achievement, meaningful friendships, memorable experiences, and countless moments that showcased the strength of our community.  Videos featuring the Kindergarten Parade, 3rd Grade Presentation of Learning, and grade-level slide shows can be viewed on the Kings Park website. Way to go, Lions!

We finished this school year incredibly strong and are already looking forward to building on this momentum in the 2026–2027 school year. As you begin scheduling appointments and planning family vacations, please be sure to plan around the FCPS 2026-2027 school year calendar so students do not miss valuable learning opportunities. Also, be sure to save the date for Kings Park’s Back to School Events

  • Monday, August 17th - Meet and Mingle, 2:45pm-3:30pm
  • Friday, August 21st - Open House, 8:45am-9:30am
  • Monday, August 24th - First Day of School, 8:40am-3:20pm
  • Thursday, September 17th - Back to School Night, 5:30pm-7:00pm

Stay tuned for more details and enjoy the rest of your summer!

Kings Park Admin Team

Sincerely,

Mrs. Dotty Lin, Mrs. Jenn Burke and Mrs. Anna Kaplan

Summer Meals for Students

Starting Monday, June 22, no-cost meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the sites and times listed on the FCPS Summer Food Service Program webpage. Students must remain on site while eating their meals.

This year, thanks to generous support from Educate Fairfax, families may also receive one no-cost breakfast and lunch per adult at the following elementary schools: Braddock, Dogwood, Glen Forest, Hutchison, Hybla Valley, and London Towne.

Summer sites will continue to be added, so please check the Summer Food webpage regularly for updates.
