2026–2027 Robinson Athletics Fall Tryout Information

Dear Robinson Families,

We are very excited to announce that Fairfax County Public Schools has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign athletic forms for your students. FCPS and FinalForms have worked to ensure we safeguard your most sensitive information. FinalForms meets all of FCPS’ rigorous data protection requirements and will be a tremendous new partner.

The most exciting news is that FinalForms saves data year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice! FinalForms will also pre-populate information wherever possible, for each of your students, saving you time. You may review your data at any time to verify it is current. You will be required to sign your forms once per year and after any update.

All parents with students registered in grades 9-12 will receive a confirmation email from FinalForms. These emails will be delivered to the email address associated with the enrolling parent. Please check your spam/junk folder and if the FinalForms email landed there please “mark as safe” emails from FinalForms and add them to your “contacts”. Your school, and the Office of Student Activities and Athletics, will use FinalForms to communicate directly with the enrolling parent quite regularly throughout the school year.

After you receive the initial email from FinalForms, click on the Parent Playbook (attached) to get started in FinalForms. If you require any support during the process, scroll to the page bottom-right and click “Get Help”.

If you have not received the invitation to create your FinalForms account by July 7, 2026, please reach out to your school’s activities office.

Robinson 2026-2027 Tryout Information:

For rising 9th–12th grade students interested in participating in athletics during the 2026–2027 school year, please review the important registration and tryout information below.

FinalForms Registration:

Fairfax County Public Schools is transitioning to FinalForms as the new athletic registration platform. FCPS will be sending information directly to families about FinalForms and the registration process. This information will be sent to the email address associated with your ParentVUE account.

Optional Registration Check-In

The Robinson Activities Office is offering an optional Registration Check-In for student-athletes and families to ensure that all required paperwork has been submitted, and students are ready for fall tryouts.

Dates: July 22 & 23, 2026 Time: 9:00–11:00 a.m. Location: Entrance 1

During this time, the Activities Office can verify that your FinalForms registration is complete, your VHSL physical has been submitted to FinalForms, and answer any questions before the start of fall tryouts.

Mandatory Fall Student-Athlete Meeting

Monday, August 3, 2026: All fall student-athletes are expected to attend. Field House (Gym) @ 7:30 a.m.

2026–2027 Fall Tryout Schedule

Dance Team Information:

Dance Team tryouts were held on June 17, 18, and 20, 2026. If you have questions concerning Dance Team, please reach out to Molly Baldovin at mbaldovin@fcps.edu for more information.

Athletic Eligibility Reminders

Before the first day of tryouts, student-athletes must:

• Complete all required FinalForms registration.
• Submit a current VHSL Athletic Participation/Parent Consent/Physical Examination Form through Finalforms. 
• Ensure their physical is current. VHSL physicals are valid for 14 months from the date the medical provider signs the form.
• If you are new to Robinson Secondary School, you must complete the Athletic Eligibility and Transfer Gateway after submitting your FinalForms registration. Athletic eligibility must be approved before you are permitted to participate in interscholastic athletics.

Students who have not completed FinalForms registration, submitted a valid physical, and (if applicable) completed the Athletic Eligibility and Transfer Gateway prior to the first day of tryouts will not be permitted to participate.

Upcoming Tryout Dates

• Winter Sports: November 9, 2026
• Spring Sports: February 22, 2027

Additional information regarding winter and spring sports will be shared prior to each season.
