Home Assistant update simplifies automations, activity feed
Home Assistant has released version 2026.7, an update that simplifies the automation process by allowing users to describe actions in plain language, eliminating the need to understand technical triggers. The update also introduces a revamped activity log, now called Activity, which presents a clean, scrollable feed of smart home events, and a one-click bulk update feature for managing multiple device updates more efficiently.

Sony keeps discs spinning for games released before 2028

Sony will continue allowing physical PlayStation game discs for titles released before 2028 and will let publishers reorder discs for those games, even as it moves toward a more digital-first distribution model. The company also plans to offer digital codes for retail sales, although details have not been disclosed.
