Fishing provides that connection with the whole living world. It gives you the opportunity of being totally immersed, turning back into yourself in a good way. A form of meditation, some form of communion with levels of yourself that are deeper than the ordinary self. ~Ted Hughes I just wanted to get out of my small hometown when I was younger. And I did. At eighteen I was drafted in the first round by the Colorado Avalanche — my childhood dream team. Denver is great. It’s a bigger version of Haliburton County, with picturesque scenery and pick-up trucks, and country music — all the things I like — but it’s not where I’m from. Now, I can’t wait to go back to my small town during breaks and over the summer. This is where my roots are and it is where I go to recharge. (Keep reading)
